NVI launches “Vaccine: The effective tool for battling COVID-19” forum at the 17th Thailand Research Expo 2022

National Vaccine Institute (NVI) in collaboration with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), announces the “Vaccine: The effective tool for battling COVID-19” academic forum at the 17th Thailand Research Expo 2022, on 2 August 2022. The expo takes place during 1-5 August 2022, at Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre.

Thailand’s National Vaccine Institute (NVI) Director, Dr. Nakorn Premsri, stated: “‘This academic forum addresses all the relevant topics and features studies related to booster doses benefit as well as evaluation and safety of COVID-19 vaccination among children and adolescents, adults, chronic patients, and pregnant women.”

With a panel of notable speakers and national vaccine experts, the forum aims to: 1. Present research findings and studies on immunogenicity following vaccination and evaluation of efficacy, safety and adverse event caused by COVID-19 vaccine; 2. Communicate and build understanding the knowledge gained and providing the public with COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with national vaccine policies; 3. To discuss and exchange knowledge of vaccine research and education in the national vaccination activities, with distinguished speakers and experts having joined the panel.

Thailand Research Expo is recognized as the national stage for presenting research findings, state-of-the-art technologies, and hands-on innovations to build public awareness, knowledge exchange and integrate collaborations among related networks. This will allow the advancement of national research and development in a various aspect of infrastructure, including policies, society, community, economic and industrial sectors.

The 17th Thailand Research Expo 2022 will present over 500 research studies undertaken by R&D networks nationwide. Key research findings and innovations aim to leverage capacities in areas covering target economic outcomes and the novel economy. Areas covered include sustainable medical care for well-being and public health, and development of policies, economic purposes, and community causes. Over 120 topics to be discussed at the conferences and seminars will highlight sustainable research and innovations for national capacity development.
