INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) FOR ADVANCING ASEAN’S VACCINE ECOSYSTEM | Episode 4: IP Filing for Medical Manufacturing

This training is co-organized by the National Vaccine Institute (NVI) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), in collaboration with the Regional Vaccine Manufacturing Collaborative (RVMC) and the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC), under the ASEAN Vaccine Security and Self-Reliance (AVSSR) initiative.

The ASEAN region, home to over 600 million people, has a growing vaccine manufacturing sector that increasingly contributes to regional and global supply chains. The region hosts a diverse mix of public and private manufacturers engaged in clinical research, development, and production.

As ASEAN member states work toward strengthening vaccine security through technology transfers, regulatory harmonization, and cross-border collaboration, intellectual property (IP) protection plays an important role in this ecosystem.
